How does China recycle?

Without a doubt, the recycling of materials can be seen everywhere in the world. After living in China for about 5 years, I am always impressed by the way an army of people in this country collects, piles and transports discarded material as a way to make a living. I like to think of these people that many times are looked down upon as the ones who either consciously or not as the biggest contributors to making a change for the good in this world. Every time I see people doing such hard and low paying labor I try to take a picture of them. Here are some of those pictures (will post more as time passes)

Pedaled or electric tricycles like these (The modern workhorses of China) filled with recyclable material are a common sight on the streets of Shanghai, China.
